Roles and Responsibilities Game Administration: Roles & Responsibilities Administrators serve as the backbone of the server, maintaining order and ensuring that players adhere to the rules. They are expected to uphold respect, both in how they treat others and how they expect to be treated. Their decisions on rule enforcement are final, and they play a key role in fostering high-quality roleplay within the community. The Structure of Administration The administrative team consists of two primary categories: managers and non-managers. Both roles are equally crucial to the overall operation of the server. Managers provide leadership and direction, while non-managers ensure the server runs smoothly through direct engagement with players. These roles complement each other, creating a balanced and functional administration team. Administrative Ranks Moderation Team Trial Moderator (Non-Manager, Entry-Level Moderator) Trial Moderators are in a probationary phase where they assist in enforcing rules and ensuring smooth gameplay while being evaluated for a permanent position. Moderator (Non-Manager, Community Engagement & Rule Enforcement) Moderators are responsible for maintaining community standards, resolving minor player disputes, and assisting players with general inquiries. Administration Team Trial Administrator (Non-Manager, On Trial) A Trial Administrator is in a probationary phase, where they learn the responsibilities of the role and demonstrate their ability to handle administrative duties. Administrator (Non-Manager, Core Team) The foundation of the admin team, Administrators actively handle reports, assist players, and contribute to the daily maintenance of the server. Senior Administrator (Partial Manager, Specialized Tasks) Senior Administrators take on additional responsibilities, such as overseeing Trial Administrators and managing private CK requests, while still handling in-game administration. Upper Administration Team Lead Administrator (Manager, Primary In-Game Leader) Lead Administrators are responsible for in-game management, guiding lower-level administrators, and ensuring smooth roleplay experiences. Head Administrator (Manager of Managers, Oversees Staff & Community Direction) Head Administrators shape the community’s future, making high-level decisions and managing both the staff team and the broader server direction. Role Responsibilities Head Administrator Head Administrators are the architects of the community, focusing on large-scale decisions that influence the server’s long-term direction. Their responsibilities include: Overseeing community-wide policies and ensuring consistency in enforcement. Delegating tasks without excessive micromanagement. Casting the final vote on major administrative and community matters. Conducting internal investigations to maintain staff integrity. Lead Administrator Lead Administrators are the primary in-game decision-makers, acting as the first line of leadership for the admin team. Their duties involve: Implementing directives from the Head Administrators. Managing lower-level administrators, forming temporary teams to address server issues, and ensuring proper task distribution. Maintaining an in-depth understanding of in-game operations and assisting other administrators when needed. Monitoring major roleplay events and reporting staff violations to the Head Administrators. Senior Administrator Senior Administrators have similar duties to standard Administrators, with some key distinctions: Exercising greater authority over standard admins in roleplay scenarios. Handling private CK requests. Evaluating and mentoring Trial Administrators. Receiving specific task assignments from higher administration, albeit on a smaller scale than Lead Administrators. Administrator Administrators are the problem solvers of the server, ensuring that player concerns and rule enforcement are handled efficiently. Their responsibilities include: Managing reports on metagaming, teleport requests, bug-related issues, and CK situations. Assisting Trial Administrators in learning the ropes. Acting as a bridge between the community and upper administration by conveying feedback, concerns, and suggestions. Encouraging open communication with upper administration to prevent miscommunication. Trial Administrator Trial Administrators function similarly to regular Administrators but operate under an evaluation period. Their primary goal is to prove their competence in handling administrative duties. Their assessment is comprehensive, including: Managing CK situations and standard administrative tasks. Demonstrating sound judgment and professionalism in various scenarios. Showcasing their ability to contribute meaningfully to the admin team. Moderator Moderators are the frontline of community engagement, ensuring that players follow the rules while maintaining a welcoming environment. They: Monitor player interactions and enforce server rules. Assist in minor disputes and escalate major issues to higher administration. Provide support and guidance to new players. Collaborate with administrators to ensure a smooth player experience. Trial Moderator Trial Moderators work closely with full Moderators, gaining experience in rule enforcement and community management. Their role includes: Assisting Moderators in handling player issues. Learning the server’s rules and enforcement procedures. Being evaluated for promotion to full Moderator status. Limiting a Trial Administrator’s duties would only delay the process of determining their suitability for a permanent role. As such, they are granted nearly full administrative powers during their trial period. Final Thoughts The administration team is essential to the server’s success. Each role plays a critical part in ensuring a well-organized, fair, and engaging environment for players. Whether it’s maintaining order, making tough decisions, or fostering an immersive roleplay experience, administrators at every level contribute to the server’s continued growth and stability. Regards, - BrutGaming Community
